Last night during the feast of Purim we read of our forefather Mordecai who became great during the Persian and Medes empire. With the authority that he received, he was able to confirm in a letter the two days of feasting for Purim. As we approach the second day of Purim, we know that the Hebrew year is winding down …
The subject of a calendar is difficult enough to discuss. Add to this the fact that our upbringing might make us think something else is strange. Shalam (Peace) Brothers and Sisters,
Previously we learned the law that Moses commanded the priests and elders to teach daily the children of Israel during the feast of Tabernacles. See, Deuteronomy 31:9-13. Obviously if the people attended the feasts they would get taught the laws, statutes, commandments, and laws which would benefit them. Nehemiah 8:8 “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.” However that is not the only benefit to attending the feasts of the most High. Without realizing righteous customs or good habits would naturally be gained by experience. Then hopefully the person would continue such customs in spite of it being an ordinary day. In this podcast lesson we discover that the priests and elders are required to answer our sincere questions. By the way if you enjoy the podcast do not forget to subscribe and share them.
