Good Habits #2 – Take Time Off
Today you have a lot of our people that take the time off to celebrate a day that has nothing to do with the Creator although it is called Thanksgiving. However the days the he commanded to be honored as holy and to give him thanks are dismissed. Preferring the tradition of men rather than the commandment of God. Mark 7:7 “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Verse 8: “For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men…”
There is no spiritual or physical gain in the celebrations of the world as when one takes the day off to keep a Sabbath. As you listen to the podcast you will be enlightened of how true the words of Christ are when he said in Luke 21:33 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” Verse 34: “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” Verse 35: “For as a snare [trap] shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.” Don’t get caught out there in the traps that have been set against you.
