Day 2 of Deuteronomy chapter 28
Today was the Sabbath day which means the day of rest, this day our people did not get to enjoy during slavery. Hopefully you used that time to rest and listen to the first part of “Who are the Children of Israel?”. We have uploaded to the radio station the second edition which will conclude this audio lesson. Remember what the Heavenly Father told the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt; the house of servitude. Deuteronomy 5:14 “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.” Verse 15: “And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.” We should completely appreciate this blessing that the Heavenly Father gave us. Imagine telling those in chattel slavery that worked in the fields every day that you do not accept the day of rest. Being that is choice for you today, do you think that they would have done the same?
