Book of Hosea Completed
When we began recording the Bible Readings we chose the book of Hosea because it coincided with the one year plan. Hopefully you read fully the book and are keeping up with the plan. It would have been nice to have the audio out at the same time as those reading. Nevertheless this book addresses a grave topic, idolatry (images, false gods, etc..). That topic should not be rushed, it is very important and our people must be made aware of their sin. The message could not be overlooked, as the whole book shows; idolatry affects every aspect of life. Such as rearing up of children, marriage, leadership in our nation, and etc.. Equally as important is the expression in Hosea of love and mercy that the Heavenly Father has on Israel. Many have awoken to who they are but they are still not fully returned to the most High. Hosea 7:16 “They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.” As long they continue to justify their images for financial gain or any other reason; they are deceitful and have missed the mark.
