Beginning of the Year
scribe unto the holy people:
Deuteronomy 28:9 “The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.” Within the ten commandments we are taught how to honor the Heavenly Father. The first commandment explains that there is no other gods, only the Heavenly Father who created us exists. Also that we should not regard anything to be of greater importance, to the point we put something before him. Exodus 20:3 “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
The second commandment relates to the first, describing what happens when he is replaced by a figment of the imagination; the person will bow in submission and live to serve according to the custom or culture of their idol. Exodus 20:4 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” Verse 5: “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Verse 6: “And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”
While many might call themselves Christians or say they believe in the Bible, they dedicate their lives to worship and serve according to the traditions of men. Who replaced God with their mythological delusions and never knew the Creator. Mark 7:7 “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Verse 8: “For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, ….” Since they taught our people to lay aside his commandment they are far from being the holy people. Instead they have become through their sins the children of Satan, any commandment that is shown to them they dismiss it according to the lies taught in their religions. As a result, God visits their iniquity by punishing them for their evil that is passed down from generation to generation. Unknowingly they miss out on the mercy of Christ that is given to those that repent and keep the commandments.
Therefore God’s name is not honored by their disobedience and desecrated by those who choose to lie by claiming to represent him. When they are shown what the most High said in his own word they reject it and choose instead their pastors. Exodus 20:7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” To make his name vain is to consider it as worthless by showing no respect to it. The pastor will not be guiltless for instructing the people to follow gods, laying aside his commandments and teaching their sinful manners. Jeremiah 23:1 “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.” The word “Woe” means disaster, pain, tragedy, catastrophe, lamentation, destruction, etc….
This is their fate because they are destroying the holy people and removing their chance of salvation by making them vain. Jeremiah 23:16 “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.” Verse 17: “They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.” They tell the people who show hatred towards God by despising his commandments that they have mercy, are saved, and will not be punished on judgment day.
Jeremiah 23:21 “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.” Verse 22: “But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.” They have an audience that is willing to listen to them, if they wanted they could direct them towards the right way which is according to the words of God. Rather they teach them how to be evil and yet claim to come in the name of God. Jeremiah 23:30 “Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.” Verse 31: “Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.”
A perfect example of how they steal his words from the holy people is in the next commandment that God gave us. Ironically, by the fourth commandment we could clearly see that God is dishonored and that all the previous commandments are violated. Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” The day to celebrate and commemorate for creating us and that was made holy by God to make us holy is now forgotten. Deliberately the Sabbath which is meant to be kept on the seventh day of the week has now been replaced by first day Sunday worship. Exodus 20:10 “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: ….” The only day God sanctified as holy is treated like any other ordinary day. Contrary to popular belief, nowhere in the Bible did Christ or the disciples change the Sabbath to Sunday. Romans 1:25 “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”
If the Sabbath is NOT being kept, that essentially means that other gods according to their imaginations are worshiped. Even if they profess to believe in the Creator and to speak according to his word. Ezekiel 20:24 “Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols[gods].” Since the Sabbath instructs the believers in how to observe the rest of the holidays; in like manner all of God’s holy days have been abandoned and replaced. To make this clear, the culture of sin is naturally followed, whereas God’s ways are made void by their sayings.
For example, instead of keeping Passover which Christ himself kept they rather observe the fairy tale of Easter. Luke 22:15 “And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:” It doesn’t take much to see that Easter is rooted in myths; what does bunnies that lay eggs have to do with Christ? Absolutely nothing! Yet they want to pretend to worship Christ while in reality they are serving Ishtar the supposed goddess of fertility. Therefore the commandments reveal who is really serving the Almighty God who created us and freed us from slavery in Egypt.
Tonight begins the New Year, the month of Abib, according to the calendar that God gave his holy people. Deuteronomy 16:1 “Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.” We therefore want to advertise to you two flyers giving you the dates in which to observe the holy days of God. Hopefully this upcoming year will be a prosperous one for the holy people that are looking for that acceptable year of the most High. Isaiah 61:2 “To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;” Shalam!
