Hosea 6

As we discussed yesterday, there are many sayings that our people have to justify living in sin. When confronted with the teachings of the law the first reaction is to look for blame in the person. Philippians 2:15 “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” If they can not find anything to point their finger at; usually they ask this specific question which they think is a trump card. Do you sacrifice? A great scripture to remember as a response is Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
