Easter or Passover?

As a believer in Christ we should do our best to live after his foot steps and his words. John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;” See also 1st Peters 2:21. Before Christ suffered for us he was celebrating the Passover with the disciples. He said unto them that it was the last time he will keep the Passover with them until he returns and establish the Kingdom of God on earth. Luke 22:15 “And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer:” Verse 16: “For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” That fateful night he was captured, put in prison, tortured, and in the daytime crucified. The following night he was buried by believers in a tomb that was never used before; widely believed to have happened on Friday night. However the word Friday does not exist in the Bible nor will be sufficient time to allow the fulfillment of prophecies; for example three days and three nights he will resurrect (rise) from the grave. Please read, Matthew 12:40. Christ resurrected before Sunday morning. See, Mark 16:1-7 and John 20:1-2. At what point was it when he commanded his disciples to honor a new celebration called Easter and forget about the Passover? This question is important to ask since his disciples continued to keep the Passover and taught its observance long after the resurrection. Please read, 1st Corinthians 5:7-8. Is Easter mentioned in the Bible and it’s traditions? Why is Christ keeping Passover when he establishes his Kingdom and not Easter?
