A Hidden Prayer
To the Brothers and Sisters trying to learn how to pray:
When discovering the truth many struggle to finding out what to say in prayer. Which is understandable, no one wants to make a mistake while praying for forgiveness. Even the disciples asked to be taught how to pray. Luke 11:1 “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” Immediately the Messiah taught them a concise prayer that many call the “Our Father” or the “Lord’s prayer” that is found in the scriptures (Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4). This is example shows us that we could find prayers that relate to our situations in the Bible. Not only prayers but examples of people similar to us that dealt with some of the common issues we face. Of course throughout the whole Bible you will find many prayers but there is one book called the Prayer of Manasses (in the Apocrypha). This class goes into the background of who Manasseh was in 2nd Chronicles chapter 33.
