<\/a>1\u00a0<\/span>Do no evil, so shall no harm come unto thee.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>2\u00a0<\/span>Depart from the unjust, and iniquity shall turn away from thee.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>3\u00a0<\/span>My son, sow not upon the furrows of unrighteousness, and thou shalt not reap them sevenfold.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>4\u00a0<\/span>Seek not of the Lord preeminence, neither of the king the seat of honour.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>5 J<\/span>ustify not thyself before the Lord; and boast not of thy wisdom before the king.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>6\u00a0<\/span>Seek not to be judge, being not able to take away iniquity; lest at any time thou fear the person of the mighty, an stumblingblock in the way of thy uprightness.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>7\u00a0<\/span>Offend not against the multitude of a city, and then thou shalt not cast thyself down among the people.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>8\u00a0<\/span>Bind not one sin upon another; for in one thou shalt not be unpunished.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>9\u00a0<\/span>Say not, God will look upon the multitude of my oblations, and when I offer to the most high God, he will accept it.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>10\u00a0<\/span>Be not fainthearted when thou makest thy prayer, and neglect not to give alms.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>11\u00a0<\/span>Laugh no man to scorn in the bitterness of his soul: for there is one which humbleth and exalteth.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>12\u00a0<\/span>Devise not a lie against thy brother; neither do the like to thy friend.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>13\u00a0<\/span>Use not to make any manner of lie: for the custom thereof is not good.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>14\u00a0<\/span>Use not many words in a multitude of elders, and make not much babbling when thou prayest.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>15\u00a0<\/span>Hate not laborious work, neither husbandry, which the most High hath ordained.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>16\u00a0<\/span>Number not thyself among the multitude of sinners, but remember that wrath will not tarry long.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>17\u00a0<\/span>Humble thyself greatly: for the vengeance of the ungodly is fire and worms.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>18\u00a0<\/span>Change not a friend for any good by no means; neither a faithful brother for the gold of Ophir.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>19\u00a0<\/span>Forego not a wise and good woman: for her grace is above gold.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>20\u00a0<\/span>Whereas thy servant worketh truly, entreat him not evil, nor the hireling that bestoweth himself wholly for thee.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>21\u00a0<\/span>Let thy soul love a good servant, and defraud him not of liberty.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>22\u00a0<\/span>Hast thou cattle? have an eye to them: and if they be for thy profit, keep them with thee.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>23\u00a0<\/span>Hast thou children? instruct them, and bow down their neck from their youth.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>24\u00a0<\/span>Hast thou daughters? have a care of their body, and shew not thyself cheerful toward them.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>25\u00a0<\/span>Marry thy daughter, and so shalt thou have performed a weighty matter: but give her to a man of understanding.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>26\u00a0<\/span>Hast thou a wife after thy mind? forsake her not: but give not thyself over to a light woman.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>27\u00a0<\/span>Honour thy father with thy whole heart, and forget not the sorrows of thy mother.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>28\u00a0<\/span>Remember that thou wast begotten of them; and how canst thou recompense them the things that they have done for thee?<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>29\u00a0<\/span>Fear the Lord with all thy soul, and reverence his priests.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>30\u00a0<\/span>Love him that made thee with all thy strength, and forsake not his ministers.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>31\u00a0<\/span>Fear the Lord, and honor the priest; and give him his portion, as it is commanded thee; the firstfruits, and the trespass offering, and the gift of the shoulders, and the sacrifice of sanctification, and the firstfruits of the holy things.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>32\u00a0<\/span>And stretch thine hand unto the poor, that thy blessing may be perfected.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>33\u00a0<\/span>A gift hath grace in the sight of every man living; and for the dead detain it not.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>34\u00a0<\/span>Fail not to be with them that weep, and mourn with them that mourn.<\/div>\r\n
<\/a>35\u00a0<\/span>Be not slow to visit the sick: for that shall make thee to be beloved.<\/div>\r\n
