 <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V6\">6&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant <span class=\"add\">places<\/span> for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns <span class=\"add\">shall be<\/span> in their tabernacles.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V7\">7&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know <span class=\"add\">it:<\/span> the prophet <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> a fool, the spiritual man <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V8\">8&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>The watchman of Ephraim <span class=\"add\">was<\/span> with my God: <span class=\"add\">but<\/span> the prophet <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> a snare of a fowler in all his ways, <span class=\"add\">and<\/span> hatred in the house of his God.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V9\">9&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>They have deeply corrupted <span class=\"add\">themselves,<\/span> as in the days of Gibeah: <span class=\"add\">therefore<\/span> he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V10\">10&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: <span class=\"add\">but<\/span> they went to Baal-peor, and separated themselves unto <span class=\"add\">that<\/span> shame; and <span class=\"add\">their<\/span> abominations were according as they loved.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V11\">11&nbsp;<\/a><\/span> <span class=\"add\">As for<\/span> Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V12\">12&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, <span class=\"add\">that there shall<\/span> not <span class=\"add\">be<\/span> a man <span class=\"add\">left:<\/span> yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V13\">13&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V14\">14&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give?
