and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V2\">2&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I <span class=\"add\">have been<\/span> a rebuker of them all.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V3\">3&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, <span class=\"add\">and<\/span> Israel is defiled.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V4\">4&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V5\">5&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V6\">6&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find <span class=\"add\">him;<\/span> he hath withdrawn himself from them.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V7\">7&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V8\">8&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, <span class=\"add\">and<\/span> the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud <span class=\"add\">at<\/span> Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V9\">9&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V10\">10&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: <span class=\"add\">therefore<\/span> I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V11\">11&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Ephraim <span class=\"add\">is<\/span> oppressed <span class=\"add\">and<\/span> broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V12\">12&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>Therefore <span class=\"add\">will<\/span> I <span class=\"add\">be<\/span> unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V13\">13&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah <span class=\"add\">saw<\/span> his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.  <span class=\"verse\"> <a name=\"V14\">14&nbsp;<\/a><\/span>For I will <span class=\"add\">be<\/span> unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, <span class=\"add\">even<\/span> I, will tear and go away;
