\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool. 2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. 3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool\u2019s back. 4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. 5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. 6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and<\/span> drinketh damage. 7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The legs of the lame are not equal: so is<\/span> a parable in the mouth of fools. 8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is<\/span> he that giveth honour to a fool. 9\u00a0<\/a><\/span> As<\/span> a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is<\/span> a parable in the mouth of fools. 10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The great God<\/span> that formed all things<\/span> both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors. 11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As a dog returneth to his vomit, so<\/span> a fool returneth to his folly. 12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is<\/span> more hope of a fool than of him. 13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The slothful man<\/span> saith, There is<\/span> a lion in the way; a lion is<\/span> in the streets. 14\u00a0<\/a><\/span> As<\/span> the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth<\/span> the slothful upon his bed. 15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The slothful hideth his hand in his<\/span> bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. 16\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The sluggard is<\/span> wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason. 17\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that passeth by, and<\/span> meddleth with strife belonging<\/span> not to him, is like<\/span> one that taketh a dog by the ears. 18\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As a mad man<\/span> who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death, 19\u00a0<\/a><\/span>So is<\/span> the man that<\/span> deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport? 20\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Where no wood is, there<\/span> the fire goeth out: so where there is<\/span> no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. 21\u00a0<\/a><\/span> As<\/span> coals are<\/span> to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is<\/span> a contentious man to kindle strife. 22\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The words of a talebearer are<\/span> as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. 23\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Burning lips and a wicked heart are like<\/span> a potsherd covered with silver dross. 24\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; 25\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are<\/span> seven abominations in his heart. 26\u00a0<\/a><\/span> Whose<\/span> hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole<\/span> congregation. 27\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him. 28\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A lying tongue hateth those that are<\/span> afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin. <\/div>
