\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Better is<\/span> the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is<\/span> perverse in his lips, and is a fool. 2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Also, that<\/span> the soul be<\/span> without knowledge, it is<\/span> not good; and he that hasteth with his<\/span> feet sinneth. 3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. 4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour. 5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that<\/span> speaketh lies shall not escape. 6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Many will intreat the favour of the prince: and every man is<\/span> a friend to him that giveth gifts. 7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with<\/span> words, yet<\/span> they are<\/span> wanting to him. <\/span> 8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that<\/span> keepeth understanding shall find good. 9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish. 10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Delight is not seemly for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes. 11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is<\/span> his glory to pass over a transgression. 12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The king\u2019s wrath is<\/span> as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is<\/span> as dew upon the grass. 13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A foolish son is<\/span> the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are<\/span> a continual dropping. 14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>House and riches are<\/span> the inheritance of fathers and a prudent wife is<\/span> from the LORD. 15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger. 16\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but<\/span> he that despiseth his ways shall die. 17\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. 18\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. 19\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him,<\/span> yet thou must do it again. 20\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21\u00a0<\/a><\/span> There are<\/span> many devices in a man\u2019s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. 22\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The desire of a man is<\/span> his kindness: and a poor man is<\/span> better than a liar. 23\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The fear of the LORD tendeth<\/span> to life: and he that hath it<\/span> shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. 24\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A slothful man<\/span> hideth his hand in his<\/span> bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. 25\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and<\/span> he will understand knowledge. 26\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He that wasteth his<\/span> father, and<\/span> chaseth away his<\/span> mother, is<\/span> a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. 27\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth<\/span> to err from the words of knowledge. 28\u00a0<\/a><\/span>An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. 29\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools. <\/div>
