To the chief Musician upon Gittith, a Psalm of Asaph. <\/div>
\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. <\/div>
2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. <\/div>
3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. <\/div>
4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>For this was<\/span> a statute for Israel, and<\/span> a law of the God of Jacob. <\/div>
5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>This he ordained in Joseph for<\/span> a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where<\/span> I heard a language that<\/span> I understood not. <\/div>
6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. <\/div>
7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. <\/div>
8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; <\/div>
9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. <\/div>
10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I am<\/span> the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. <\/div>
11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. <\/div>
12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>So I gave them up unto their own hearts\u2019 lust: and<\/span> they walked in their own counsels. <\/div>
13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and<\/span> Israel had walked in my ways! <\/div>
14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. <\/div>
15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. <\/div>
16\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. <\/div>
