To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim-Eduth, A Psalm of Asaph. <\/div>
\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between<\/span> the cherubims, shine forth. <\/div>
2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and<\/span> save us. <\/div>
3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. <\/div>
4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? <\/div>
5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. <\/div>
6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. <\/div>
7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. <\/div>
8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. <\/div>
9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou preparedst room<\/span> before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. <\/div>
10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like<\/span> the goodly cedars. <\/div>
11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. <\/div>
12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Why hast thou then<\/span> broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? <\/div>
13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. <\/div>
14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; <\/div>
15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that<\/span> thou madest strong for thyself. <\/div>
16\u00a0<\/a><\/span> It is<\/span> burned with fire, it is<\/span> cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. <\/div>
17\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom<\/span> thou madest strong for thyself. <\/div>
18\u00a0<\/a><\/span>So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. <\/div>
