To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. <\/div>
\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so<\/span> far from helping me, and from<\/span> the words of my roaring? <\/div>
2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. <\/div>
3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>But thou art<\/span> holy, O thou<\/span> that inhabitest the praises of Israel. <\/div>
4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. <\/div>
5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. <\/div>
6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>But I am<\/span> a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. <\/div>
7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying,<\/span> <\/div>
8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>He trusted on the LORD that<\/span> he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. <\/div>
9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>But thou art<\/span> he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was<\/span> upon my mother\u2019s breasts. <\/div>
10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art<\/span> my God from my mother\u2019s belly. <\/div>
11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Be not far from me; for trouble is<\/span> near; for there is<\/span> none to help. <\/div>
12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls<\/span> of Bashan have beset me round. <\/div>
13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They gaped upon me with<\/span> their mouths, as<\/span> a ravening and a roaring lion. <\/div>
14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. <\/div>
15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. <\/div>
16\u00a0<\/a><\/span>For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. <\/div>
17\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I may tell all my bones: they look and<\/span> stare upon me. <\/div>
18\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. <\/div>
19\u00a0<\/a><\/span>But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me. <\/div>
20\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. <\/div>
21\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Save me from the lion\u2019s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. <\/div>
22\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. <\/div>
23\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. <\/div>
24\u00a0<\/a><\/span>For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. <\/div>
25\u00a0<\/a><\/span>My praise shall be<\/span> of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. <\/div>
26\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. <\/div>
27\u00a0<\/a><\/span>All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. <\/div>
28\u00a0<\/a><\/span>For the kingdom is<\/span> the LORD\u2019S: and he is<\/span> the governor among the nations. <\/div>
29\u00a0<\/a><\/span>All they that be<\/span> fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. <\/div>
30\u00a0<\/a><\/span>A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. <\/div>
31\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.<\/span> <\/div>
