A Prayer of David. <\/div>
\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth<\/span> not out of feigned lips. <\/div>
2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal. <\/div>
3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me<\/span> in the night; thou hast tried me, and<\/span> shalt find nothing; I am purposed that<\/span> my mouth shall not transgress. <\/div>
4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from<\/span> the paths of the destroyer. <\/div>
5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Hold up my goings in thy paths, that<\/span> my footsteps slip not. <\/div>
6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear<\/span> my speech. <\/div>
7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee<\/span> from those that rise up against them.<\/span> <\/div>
8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, <\/div>
9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>From the wicked that oppress me, from<\/span> my deadly enemies, who<\/span> compass me about. <\/div>
10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly. <\/div>
11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth; <\/div>
12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Like as a lion that<\/span> is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places. <\/div>
13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is<\/span> thy sword: <\/div>
14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>From men which are<\/span> thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have<\/span> their portion in this<\/span> life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure:<\/span> they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance<\/span> to their babes. <\/div>
15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. <\/div>
