\r\n 1\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Moreover Job continued his parable, and said, 2\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Oh that I were as in<\/span> months past, as in<\/span> the days when<\/span> God preserved me; 3\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When his candle shined upon my head, and when<\/span> by his light I walked through<\/span> darkness; 4\u00a0<\/a><\/span>As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was<\/span> upon my tabernacle; 5\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When the Almighty was<\/span> yet with me, when<\/span> my children were<\/span> about me; 6\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; 7\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When I went out to the gate through the city, when<\/span> I prepared my seat in the street! 8\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and<\/span> stood up. 9\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The princes refrained talking, and laid their<\/span> hand on their mouth. 10\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth. 11\u00a0<\/a><\/span>When the ear heard me,<\/span> then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me,<\/span> it gave witness to me: 12\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had<\/span> none to help him. 13\u00a0<\/a><\/span>The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow\u2019s heart to sing for joy. 14\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was<\/span> as a robe and a diadem. 15\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I was eyes to the blind, and feet was<\/span> I to the lame. 16\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I was<\/span> a father to the poor: and the cause which<\/span> I knew not I searched out. 17\u00a0<\/a><\/span>And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. 18\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my<\/span> days as the sand. 19\u00a0<\/a><\/span>My root was<\/span> spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch. 20\u00a0<\/a><\/span>My glory was<\/span> fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand. 21\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Unto me men<\/span> gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel. 22\u00a0<\/a><\/span>After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them. 23\u00a0<\/a><\/span>And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as<\/span> for the latter rain. 24\u00a0<\/a><\/span> If<\/span> I laughed on them, they believed it<\/span> not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down. 25\u00a0<\/a><\/span>I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that<\/span> comforteth the mourners. <\/div>
